This site is very interesting because the source code supports multiple chip platforms, for example ARM, AVR, Coldfire, MSP430, Z8Encore, Win32 and Linux. It also supports the following Modbus function codes, which covers 99.9% of applications. This seems to be a very good job by Christian Walter. Congratulations, and keep it up Christian.

When you click through on the link below, be sure to take a look at the top left corner of the screen to see the thermometer. Roll your cursor over the thermometer to see a settings block pop up. To be able to use this toolbox one would have to be a Javascript programmer, but perhaps a community will spring up and provide some level of support to the rest of us….

The limitations seem to be that it does not support Modbus TCP yet, nor Modbus ASCII. However, since most Modbus applications are still serial RTU, this should not be a problem. If you explore this website further you will find many other interesting Modbus and Telemechanique tools, most of them aimed at programmers.
